Florence Jack is a Scottish independent pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Her music is a blend of old and new, including hints of ELO and ABBA to Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo with empowering, upbeat, catchy hooks that you can't help but sing-along to as well as heart-wrenching acoustic ballads. 

Growing up her musical influences ranged from Pop through to Jazz and Folk. Florence not only writes all of her own music but she also self-produces. Her songs are regularly featured on the BBC, including, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio nan Gaidheal, Original 106, and Amazing Radio UK and US. Florence is a prolific collaborator, having co-written songs with Paul Statham (Dido, Kylie Minogue), Nat Cartier, rapper Yxng STUNNA and EDM producers Ian Robert and Charlie Aylesbury. 

Florence began to write songs from a young age. A Grade 8 Pianist, she also plays Acoustic Guitar, Ukulele, bass guitar and Cello. Piano has always been the foundation to her songwriting and after discovering the endless possibilities with digitalisation, her music has evolved, allowing her to add the ‘electro/pop’ element to her songwriting. This has enhanced her catchy melodies, adding perfectly placed effects and layering, delicately placed harmonies and toe-tapping beats. 

Performing

This year Florence has performed all over the UK from supporting the Scottish based artist ili at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow to performing at ‘Alessia and Friends’ at Karma Sanctum in Soho, London.  She has had a sell-out show at Aberdeen Music Hall’s Big Sky Studio, a sell-out Headline Show for the launch of her Debut EP and has been a supporting artist for LYRA at The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen. Florence has also performed at several music festivals across the UK and Europe including Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Appfest in Somerset and in Gloucestershire, Shebfest in Devon, Montrose Music Festival and ZugerSEE-fest in Switzerland. 

Florence is a one woman band whose performances pack the punch of a full band. Her stage craft involves soulful vocals, fun piano solos, funky bass solos and acoustic guitars! 

New Music

Florence's Debut EP ‘Love Heist’ is out now on all streaming platforms. The EP consists of five pop bangers and one acoustic ballad. This project was funded by Creative Scotland. There are three singles from the EP which have gained traction on social media and streaming platforms. She also has a new song collaboration called ‘Rising’ with Charlie Aylesbury and Ian Robert which is gaining traction with over 100,000 Spotify streams.
